I kinda spend my life stumbling along in a semi-purposeful manner, and I now browse the web the same way using Stumble Upon.
You input the things you are into, and the categories you like, when you set up your free account. It then works similar to the ‘I feel lucky’ button on a google search, but with the results based on the categories you have set up in your personal preferences, and the sites that come up are those that are popular amongst other stumble upon users as well – it’s genius, especially with what I do.
It means that loads of cool new resources and information on design and illustration are loaded onto my page at the click of a button, and the fact that I don’t know what will come up next makes it a kinda exciting way of browsing – I’m livin’ on the edge! I also have stuff on music, science and humour in my preferences also.
You can also click to say whether you like the site or not, and add comments on it and that – is nice yeah.
I was in a bit of a loop in terms of the sites and resources I was visiting on the web, but nay more. I recommend this to everyone everywhere. Stumble ...
