DFCKR

DFCKR is a publication created with the intention of keeping track of design related news and resources. The site is maintained by a team of web designers/developers with a passion for design

Not blogged for a while – errr … sorry about that ye’all …

Moving gaff an’ work an’ that has meant that my blog has gone a bit dusty and cob-webby in recent weeks. Sorry … months!

But I’m back once again (d for damager, power to the people etc.) wid some news ‘bout a new design resource that’s now online called ‘DFCKR – keeping track of design stuff so you don’t have to’.

The site has been masterfully put together by web-guru Alex Giron of CSS Beauty fame, and has a rather satisfying magazine style design that ‘pleases mine eye’ in ways that makes me want to get rude with myself. It isn’t to everyone's taste – judging by the feedback on ‘beauty – but I’m a stickler for a tight well-composed site, which this one is – no question.

Anyways, I’m also lucky enough to have been asked to contribute some illustrations and illustration related ramblings to the project (one of which lives here), so I’m hoping to have some more illustrations and stuff featured on it real soon.

But that aside, the site also looks to have some great design focused articles, and it’s nice to see a ‘web standards vehicle’ housing design related content. So if you is in to that kind of ‘tang’, get yourself over there pronto and look at the words and pictures with your eyes etc.

Shit! I’ve just this second looked at my stats and realised I’ve been featured on Design Melt Down in the ‘dates’ section. Design Melt Down is a web design resource I’ve frequented in an ‘often’ fashion for a while now, after being pointed in that direction by the mighty ‘Oxton’ some months back. Check it out – it has some great articles and is itself a fine example of web design goodness. Ah man! That’s pickled me tink.

This calls a a cheese toastie and small glass of fresh orange in celebration of news that is nice …

Amazing website, congrats, but why there are no more comments?

  1. What, this site of dfckr? This site: dunno. I don’t really blog much at the mo’. Also, not sure how interesting the things I have to say are! Heh! Might try and put some stuff up later.

Then again, loads of deadlines on client work coming up … sigh …

  2. As any showcase, dfckr.com is welcome, too, but how it works? It’s hard to find any info regarding to the way a work / portfolio can be published ...
